Contracts

A contract is an agreement between two or more parties to do, or to refrain from doing, a particular thing in exchange for something of value. Its terms can be as informal as "I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today" or as formal as a commercial investment venture. Either way, failure to live up to the contract can have serious consequences.

Misunderstanding between parties as to the terms of a contract can often lead to dispute, and is best addressed prior to its execution by 1) communication with all parties throughout the process and 2) using clear and concise terms upon which all parties agree. At the Templeton Law Firm, there is a strong commitment to following these two principles, both in the drafting and review of contracts.

If you have a contractual drafting or review matter you would like to discuss, please feel free to contact the office for an appointment or send an e-mail direct to Ms. Templeton at
